Yeah Baby!!

Big BIG things this week in my little neck of the world! First off, my website, http://www.kayceenilson.com has been updated with not only the information on how to order my book, but there are links to the new blog entries and also columns written since the last year. I've been working the past two days on a book trailer to be posted on YouTube and I've also done an interview about my book and about why I write.

I'm also getting ready to start a series of six treatments of chemo that is heated to 160 before injection. The nicest part of the super heated ones, I normally have two hours to get to where I got to be before I get sick. (Other than the fact that I feel like I wet myself. But that's nothing compared to throwing up on myself 10 minutes after I leave the office!) So this evening, I've been doing laundry and getting the house ready for my youngest to practically take care of him self and the animals. I'll be here at home, it's just I'm down for 24 – 48 hours in the bed and not able to do much.

So, I don't know what to think about websites shutting down for the 24 hours in protest of two acts that the United States Congress is trying to enact. I've read about the bills, and I think I understand the meaning of them. I'm not as stupid as I look. But I don't get why the information blackout.

Aren't sites, like Wikipedia for example, afraid of what this will do to their usage? Will people really go back to sites that have shut down for the 24 hours?

I guess I just don't understand the owners' intentions.

I've also been cat sitting this week for some friends. The cat we're watching, Randall, is a beautiful amber tabby with the same color of eyes! He reminds me so much of my Forrest except for one thing, Forrest had a white chin and Randall doesn't have a speck of white on him. They do share a trait of being very shy, Randall seems to run and hide from just about everyone!

Well, I've finished folding the two loads of laundry and now it's time to post this and get these clothes put up. Then it's time to get the youngest in bed for school tomorrow and I think I might have a glass of wine and a hot bubble bath. I've certainly earned it!
